The UK has been experiencing a snow storm recently and people have been tweeting about it!. This page has been setup, as part of my research into crowd sourcing, to track the #uksnow hashtag based on the following format [Postcode District Score/10] since #uksnow became a trending topic. You can help out by tagging the current snow conditions in your own Tweets like this:
eg. #uksnow G12 7/10
The scripts produce two maps that look like this:

The important part of this mapping project is that the Postcode Regions are not Geo-coded (Unlike my Live Tweet Map and Ben Marsh’s UKSnow Map). The underlying data uses Postcode Districts within the UK and maps them using MapTube and give an accurate location of where the snow is actually falling rather than an approximation.
The map mashups are created by MapTube, a project I am currently expanding at CASA (More blog posts about that in the future). Currently I am collecting all #uksnow tweets since the 21st December to run some visulisation experiments over this exciting crowd sourced data-set. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions on these maps then let me know via Twitter @frogo or @stevenjamesgray.
